  Went yesterday. Booked. .but appeared they wasn't expecting us..table of 6 person. Service shocking.drinks came straight away. So did the starters. .then it went downhill . waited an hour between starters and main...starters wasn't even cleared away before we started mains...even though there was plenty of time. He cleared away whilst eating mains..The mains were all ready at different times. 3 of us ate then the other 3 was ready. Pizza and burgers..The first 3 were happy to wait but the chef came over to say they were out so had to go...3 finished meals before the other 3 had theirs....and the pizza...was a cross between a pancake and a Jacobs cream cracker...she bit in to it and it went everywhere. Like eating a packet of crisps. ..There is thin...and extra thin...overall my birthday meal was rubbish. ..The whole experience was exactly 2 hours....With more waiting than eating. ..The he first time we have never tipped. So sorry but awful experience

  First visit to this restaurant last night and it will be our last. Got off to a great start with a lovely server Laura taking our order but then it all went downhill. After half an hour waiting for a burger and only getting it after asking how much longer it was going to be it came with a dollop of what was supposed blue cheese on top along with a few uncooked slices of mushrooms. Certainly presentation was not something that was important in their eyes. Took one bite. ..the "beef burger" was absolutely disgusting. Did not resemble a burger either in appearance or taste. And for this they have the cheek to charge over £8. Our lovely server came to check how our meals were and she immediately summoned the manager. His response that he "personally watched them grill it fresh" was somewhat odd as I later witnessed them taking a burger patty out of a McDonald's style warming tray to give to the next unsuspecting customer. The manager did offer me the carvery instead but this looked very unappealing so I made do with a plate of salad. The manager had the decency to remove the burger from the bill although I would have refused to pay for it anyway. I would have left it there and not written this review but it went further downhill from there. On my way home I started to feel very unwell...I became nauseous and had stomach cramps. I have no doubt that the "beef burger" was the culprit and was thankful that I did not eat any more.
  The quality of food at this establishment is well below par from my experience.

  Excellent food. Excellent prices. Chris is the manager and he is excellent. Couldn't ask for nicer staff and a warm friendly environment. Don't believe bad reviews... some people shouldn't be entitled to an opinion as they're just plain hard to please.... thanks Manor farm for an excellent meal every time!!
